THE BEATLES The Beatles' Christmas Record (Rare original 1963 UK first official 7" Christmas flexi disc issued exclusively to fan club members, housed in a unique gatefold pocket picture sleeve complete with National Newsletter No. 2 printed on the inside. Obtained by its one previous owner who was in her teens at the time, this particular Beatles fan had a job to get the flexi disc in the first place. What we also have here is a letter of apology from Anne Collingham & Bettina Rose, explaining that the surge in fanclub membership exhausted the original planned run of the flexi-disc, with a free 9" x 7" black & white photo of The Fabs [circa '63] for her bad luck. This keen Beatles fan eventually received the disc, so what we have here is the original flexi complete with picture sleeve & apology letter in its period dated envelope with photo enclosed. In addition, we have four extra black & white promotional-only photos of The Fabs from the era as well as a fold-out black & white photo of group portraits from Miravelle [celebrating the Girl Of The Year 1964 contest!]. The envelope has the original owner's address label attached & the front of the picture sleeve for the flexi is neatly annotated with her name & address. The sleeve remains in Excellent condition with just a few small spots of age discolouring. The disc is flat & in Excellent condition & most likely never played. The bonus photos, letter & mailer are also Excellent with just minor signs of their age, making for a keen package overall & a wonderful set LYN492)
