LENNIE TRISTANO Lennie Tristano (Circa 1962 US issue of the 1955 9-track mono LP on the plum & red Atlantic label with black fan logo to the right, from one of the first jazz pianists to explore atonal improvisation. Includes the multi-tracked 'Turkish Mambo', experimental for its time with early Rudy Van Gelder tape trickery, housed in a heavyweight pasted laminate picture sleeve. The sleeve [VG-] has a horizontal hairline score mark in the middle not spoiling the artwork & a pin-hole top left. The panels are clean, intact & all print is legible, with a 1" paper split in the top edge & a little minor paper loss in the spine's corners. The vinyl remains in Excellent condition with a few faint paper hairlines not affecting play)
