DOWNLINERS SECT The Sect (Debut Garage Rock 1964 UK first
press 14-track MONO LP on the blue & black Columbia label with
machine stamped matrices ending '1N/1N', one of the first influential
British R&B groups in line with The Yardbirds, The Pretty Things & The
Rolling Stones. Includes the snarly 'Bloodhound' & the rip-snorting
'One Ugly Child' with the liner notes alluding to an 'anonymous 'great''
who sat in on that track with 'thanks due to Andrew Oldham for
loaning him to us'. Thefront laminated flipback picture sleeve appears
Excellent with secure flipbacks & no writing. There are a few minor
paper scuffs & a little discolouring on the back forgiveable with age.
The vinyl is clean & grades EX/EX- with just a few faint spindle marks
& the occasional light hairline not affecting play. One of the best & only
examples we've seen in years! 33SX1658)
