LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin (Rare 1969 Japanese first issue 9-track stereo vinyl LP on the blue & green Atlantic label pressed by Nippon Grammophon, gatefold pasted picture sleeve with 'Art Rock' logo in the top left, Japanese/lyrics inside & the full band photograph across the centre on the back. The sleeve has a unique printing error where the band members' names have been mixed up under their picture with only Jimmy Page captioned correctly! See 'more info' for condition details... Condition :-

There are several issues with this copy to mention, none of which greatly spoil what is otherwise a fine Japanese original of a legendary debut in Rock.

The heavy duty matt sleeve [VG] has picked up some 'foxing', particularly on the inside gatefold, which is common for Japanese pressings of this vintage. There is a little shelfwear with all print clearly legible & no writing. The first issue 'wrong name' captions on the back are unblemished. These were swiftly withdrawn & corrected on later pressings - this particular example has the correct names lightly annotated underneath the relevant pictures.

The vinyl is clean & graded an honest VG-. There is a scratch that runs through the first two tracks that cause a series of clicks on rotation but no jumps. Otherwise there are mostly just light cosmetic signs of play with the odd paper scuff & hairline on what is otherwise a high quality sixties vinyl press & a tough to find Japanese original. Far from mint but a worthy collection filler.
