BOYD RICE Boyd Rice (1981 UK Mute label 9-track LP. Originally released in 1977, this was the debut from the self-styled 'King Of Noise', recorded between December 1975 & January 1976. Rice pioneered noise & industrial music using found sounds& samples played at ear-splitting volume levels, also using the medium of conveying sound as an instrument in itself, utilising locked grooves & releasing singles with 2-4 centre holes for 'multi axial rotation'. This particular album is 'playable at any speed'! Housed in an embossed plain black sleeve which is graded 'VG'as it shows some ring,edge and general shelfwear whilst the vinyl appears barely played STUMM4)
