THE HORACE SILVER QUINTET & TRIO Blowin' The Blues Away (1966 US stereo issue of the 1959 7-track LP, with RVG STEREO stampers on the dead-wax of both sides. one of Horace's best efforts released during a key year in jazz, recorded by Van Gelder & including the rip-roaring title tune. Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Eugene Taylor & Louis Hayes all perform. Housed in a heavy pasted picture sleeve reproducing the original album cover. The reverse shows some light discolouration and slight fading. The vinyl remains in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear BST84017)
