A TRIBE CALLED QUEST People's Instinctive Travels And The
Paths Of Rhythm (25th Anniversary Edition 2015 UK/EU
double album 2-LP pressed on 180-gram black vinyl.
Originally released in 1990, People's Instinctive Travels
and the Pathsof Rhythm marked the debut of Q-Tip,
Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi White -
four friends from Queens whose creative chemistry would
change the sound of hip-hop forever. Defying the macho
posturing that dominated muchof the era, the group
introduced a warm, inventive, and often playful approach to
lyricism, matched by Ali's sample-rich production that drew
on jazz, soul, gospel, and rock. The album flows effortlessly
between observational storytelling, light-hearted vignettes,
and socially conscious messages. Early classics like I Left
My Wallet in El Segundo, Bonita Applebum, and Can I
Kick It? have become staples of 90s hip-hop, while tracks
like Push It Along and Youthful Expression
reveal the depth and vision that earned Tribe a lasting
reputation as innovators. This 25th Anniversary Edition
presents the album newly remastered from the
original tapes, and also includes three exclusive bonus
remixes from Pharrell Williams and J. Cole,
offering fresh perspectives on Bonita Applebum and
Can I Kick It?, as well as a new take on
Footprints. A landmark release in the development of
jazz-influenced hip-hop, this edition celebrates the legacy of
one of the most influential debut albums of all time. Housed
inside a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve with foil metallic
mirror-board finish, factory sealed. Essential)
