PENTANGLE Solomon's Seal (1972 US promotional white title Reprise 'steamboat' label 9-track vinyl LP. This was the last album recorded by the original line-up before the band split in '73, opening with their version of Cyril Tawney's song of a sailor's lost love, 'Sally Free And Easy'. Unlike its usual rendition as a sea shanty, Pentangle treat this to a slow bluesy rhythm, with the remainder of the album divided between traditional songs and the band's own compositions. Textured picture sleeve complete with lyric inner & promo insert. An excellent example MS2100)
