Tracklisting & More Information

This event was finally billed as 'The National Jazz , Pop, Ballads and Blues Festival' - whew ...
Obviously it was still Jazz & Blues when the guest passes were printed.

The lineup for this amazing event is to die for :-

The 1967 Festival's main musical claim to fame was the first ever appearance of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, it also happened to be the debut appearances by both Chicken Shack & The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown with Arthur making a notable appearance onstage by being lowered by crane!

The Full Line-up for the weekend :-

11th Aug :-
Small Faces
The Move
Tomorrow
Marmalade

12th August :-
The Nice
Paul Jones
Crazy World Of Arthur Brown
Zoot Money
Aynsley Dunbar
Ten Years After
Amen Corner
Time Box

Pink Floyd were replaced by The Nice as Floyd had to cancel at short notice. By this time Syd Barrett was just unable to function on-stage in any reliable sort of musical capacity and it became obvious that the show could not go on for Syd.
PP Arnold, who used the Nice as her backing band, released doves of peace !

13th August :-
Cream
Jeff Beck
John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
PP Arnold
Alan Bown
Chicken Shack
Fleetwood Mac
Donovan
Denny Laine
Blossom Toes
Pentangle

So, the Nice got on twice and saved some embarassment at the non-appearance of the chemically disadvantaged Syd.
