CAT STEVENS Year Of The Child Concert Commemorative Plaque (1979 UK metal plaque issued to celebrate the success of the 'Year Of The Child' concert, headlined by Cat Stevens.This special plaque was commissioned by the legendary concert promoter Mel Bush and presented to the artists involved to commemorate the concert. This decorative commemorative brushed metal plaque measures 16" x 11", and is stylishly framed in aluminum. There is various text printed in blue and red, including a list of the artists who performed at the concert - Cat Stevens, David Essex, Gary Numan, Real Thing, Sky and Wishbone Ash, plus date, venue and name of the concert with the wording 'Many Thanks' at the bottom.

With each of the acts promoted by Mel Bush, once a successful tour or concert had taken place, Mel would commission a commemorative plaque or mirror as a souvenir of the event. Usually these would be presented to the artist, with an additional one kept in his own personal archive.

Now semi-retired, Mel has decided to part with his treasured archive of mirrors and plaques and we have been enlisted to help him find good homes for his collection.
