KEVIN AYERS AND THE WHOLE WORLD Shooting At The Moon (1970 UK first issue 10-track stereo LP with no EMI logo on the label, Ayers's second post-Soft Machine album with David Bedford, avant-gardist Lol Coxhill, Mick Fincher and a young teenage Mike Oldfield on bass & guitar! The results reveal the true eccentric genius at the heart of Ayers' madcap Canterbury sound and is now regarded as a masterpiece of British psychedelia, listed in The Wire's inspiring '100 Records That Set TheWorldOn Fire [When No One Was Listening]' [issue 175, September 1998]. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve shows some laminate stretching but remains in otherwise excellent condition, the vinyl MINT. Highly recommended SHSP4005)
