THE MASCOTS Ellpee (2005 UK 14-track CD album, originally released in Sweden in 1966 - The Mascots were huge in their homeland, with strong Beatles/Hollies-type vocal harmonies matched to intelligently crafted songs, inspired by the wave of bands coming out of the UK; by the time of this, their 2nd and final album, they were employing some of the sonic tricks of the Who, with distorted guitars and supremely compressed drums bolstering their sound into a freakbeat masterpiece!
