MILES DAVIS 'Round About Midnight (2006 Japanese promotional 6-track CD album - originally released in March 1957, and comprised of recording sessions from October 1955 and June & September 1956; this was Davis' debut longplayer for Columbia, andfeatures the legendary musician backed by an astounding quartet comprised of John Coltrane [tenor sax], Red Garland [piano], Paul Chambers [bass] and Philly Joe Jones [drums]. This promo-stamped disc is issued in a wallet picture sleeve, that is an exact replica of the original LP sleeve, complete with sleeve notes and inner sleeve, as well as fold-out Japanese insert and promo-stickered top obi-strip)
