MONKEY Journey To The West (2008 US promotional 2xCDR acetate set - created by the team behind Gorillaz [Jamie Hewlett & Damon Albarn], the project was recorded in London & Beijing and features lyrics based on ancient Chinese text performed by European & Chinese musicians and singers. The album opens with 'Monkey's World', and into a 'Heavenly Peach Banquet', escorted by 'Monkey Bee' and closes with the 'Disappearing Volcano'. With a running time of 50 minutes, 'Journey To The West' consists of 22 tracks with vocals in Mandarin. This set also has the advantage of a second disc which is the instrumental version of the album; issued with a custom printed back insert - a great set)
