MILES DAVIS Sketches Of Spain (2009 Japanese 50th Anniversary 'Legacy Edition' 17-track enhanced 2-CD set, comprised of the original 6-track album, recorded in November 1959 & March 1960 with Canadian arranger Gil Evans to create one of his most enduring and innovative achievements, plus a BONUS enhanced CD featuring rehearsal and alternate takes previously heard only on the 1996 set 'Miles Davis & Gil Evans: The Complete Columbia Studio Recordings' and the only piece ever performed live by Miles with Gil 'Concierto de Aranjuez' captured at Carnegie Hall on May 19th, 1961, presented in digipak sleeve + obi strip, complete with 'digital booklet' featuring extensive liner notes, rare photos, correspondence and clippings including the 1960 HiFi/Stereo Review article by Nat Hentoff describing the November 15th, 1959 recording session, more details to follow...)
