story of how Klaus Voormann retraced the footsteps of his musical
biography back to where everything began and is the outcome of
seven studio sessions in London, Memphis, Hamburg, Los Angeles and
Munich together with the best international session musicians and
many major stars, such as Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yusuf
[aka Cat Stevens], Dr. John and many others and comprises of a
14-track CD album with three bonus recordings plus a 'Making Of A
Sideman's Journey' DVD which carries the viewer into the centre of the
action. This is not a staged production, but a powerful and passionate
documentary showing how this audio-visual work of art came into
