In 1966 Jan Berry suffered debilitating injuries in a car accident, as he battled to recover he spent three years recording songs for a new Jan and Dean album to be titled Carnival of Sound. Despite the quality of the music, the album was never released and became one of rock ’n’ roll’s lost treasures. This set includes a 29-track CD featuring the original mono mixes of the album along with new stereo mixes by Andrew Sandoval plus bonus tracks from the 1966-68 sessions, the vinyl LP features the original mono mix of the album.
