JAN & DEAN Carnival Of Sound (2010 US Rhino Hand Made limited
edition CD/LP set, the first official release of the long lost and often
bootlegged 1960s album. In 1966 Jan Berry suffered debilitating
injuries in a car accident, as he battled to recover he spent three
years recording songs for a new Jan and Dean album to be titled
Carnival of Sound. Despite the quality of the music, the album was
never released and became one of rock ’n’ roll’s lost treasures. This
set includes a 29-track CD featuring the original mono mixes of the
album along with new stereo mixes by Andrew Sandoval plus bonus
tracks from the 1966-68 sessions, the vinyl LP features the original
mono mix of the album. Presented in a hardbound gatefold picture
sleeve complete with a 16 page full color booklet featuring rare
photographs and extensive liner notes from the producer Andrew
Sandoval, SEALED from new and therefore unopened and never
