Originally released in 1971, this was band's first album for RCA Records, and is a wide-ranging collection of Ray Davies compositions which focus on the frustrations and stresses of modern life, such as poverty, housing development; includes the 21-track CD featuring nine bonus recodings including demo, alternative versions and more, along with an all region NTSC DVD featuring recordings from the Old Grey Whistle Test and a concert recording at the Rainbow. Housed in a fold-out digipak picture sleeve which remains factory sealed in the hype stickered shrink)
