THE JAPANESE POPSTARS Destroy EP (2010 UK limited edition 3-track 12" vinyl EP - The Japanese Popstars are set for the summer of their young lives. Now signed to Virgin Records, the Northern Irish trio are putting the finishing touches to their eagerly awaited second album. 'Destroy EP' is the taster, a sonic appetiser that sees them joined by Jon Spencer [he of the Blues Explosion] for the title track, plus new songs 'My Bubbles' and 'Evidently'. Premiered on Radio 1 as an 'EssentialNew Tune' by Pete Tong, 'Destroy' is a typically raucous affair. Beneath Spencer's acerbic delivery, the track bristles with an energy that crackles with each beat, chord, and keyboard stab. Doorly and Autokratz provide the remixes)
