LUCIFER Big Gun (Extremely rare 1972 UK 13-track [what else!] privately pressed stereo LP that was only available by mail order from the cult underground magazine 'Oz'. A spectacular slice of insanely loud proto-dark metal experimental prog, thisalbum was the first of just two released by the band, both released in 1972 by mail order only & both pressed in quantities of probably only five hundred. It is rumoured that these albums were solo works by occult fan Peter Walker of Purple Gang [Granny TakesA Trip] fame. Complete with rare fold out full colour poster, this album was issued in a plain matte black sleeve with no text at all anywhere upon it. The only clue to what it is being the picture labels with 'Lucifer' & 'Big Gun' text on the A-Side label. The plain sleeve on this copy has a couple of small compression tears from heavy handed storage at the opening edge, but as this is just a generic black sleeve that can easily be replaced, we have left this as is, completely original. The poster & the vinyl are just as they would have been nearly forty years ago when this dropped through your letterbox in its cardboard mailer. A fantastic rarity, from both the Underground London scene as the Sixties moved into the Seventies & also as an invaluable window looking through at the genesis of the UK prog/rock scene! LLP1)
