JENNY LEDEEN Prophesy In The Christian Era (1995 US 244-page book which examines Bob Dylan's works from 1961 to 1967, emphasising the use of enigma to teach ethics, and comparing him to Dante Alighieri and other poets. This is primarily a learnedwork on Dylan's lyrical content, with little attention being paid to the music. It examines Dylan's use of allegory & indeed parable at times to spread his personal message to the world and relates that to the way non-musical poets perform much the same way in their use of the language. Recommended for advanced Dylanologists, although the book is written in such a way as to keep interest for the more casual reader)
