ERIC CLAPTON Eric Clapton And Guests (Rare 1989 Swaziland thirty six page 8" x 12" programme for the three concerts given by Eric to raise funds for The King's Trust charity of King Mswati III of Swaziland in July that year. Along with sponsor adverts, there are also mini biographies & portrait pictures of the other artists on the bill, including Joan Armatrading, Labi Siffre, Brenda Fassie, Sipho Mabuse & several other native African musical performers. This programme comes from thecollection of Yukiko Smythe. For many years Yukiko's husband, Colin Smythe, was Eric Clapton's assistant tour manager. On August 27th 1990 Colin, along with Clapton's agent Bobby Brooks, his bodyguard Nigel Browne and Stevie Ray Vaughan boarded a helicopter bound for Chicago. Tragically, the helicopter crashed shortly after take-off, killing all on board. Since that fateful day Yukiko's love of live music has endured and over the next two decades she continued to travel to concerts around the world. We're honoured to be offering this example now, for the very first time)
