DEEP PURPLE with THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA conducted by MALCOLM ARNOLD Concerto For Group And Orchestra (Extremely rare 1969 US four movement stereo LP, released by Tetragrammatron in December 1969, making it the first issue anywhere inthe world. The company went insolvent shortly afterwards & from early 1970 this title was distributed by Warner Brothers, making this issue very short lived indeed, being on sale for a matter of just a few months. Interestingly, the publishing date on the labels says 1968, even though the concert actually took place on 24th September 1969. The pasted gatefold picture sleeve is in lovely condition, showing minimal shelfwear & just a tiny bit of corner scuffing if you look closely. The vinyl too remains in excellent condition with just a couple of light inaudible surface scuffs to show for its forty years. A superb copy of one of the rarest Deep Purple official releases! T-131)
