VARIOUS-ROCK & METAL Live At CBGB's (1976 US 16-track double compilation LP, pasted gatefold picture sleeve. Really interesting collection that served as a showcase for many of the key bands that played at the legendary US venue, what's of particular interest is the bands included; Tuff Darts, The Shirts, Mink DeVille, Stuart's Hammer and more, no Ramones, Talking Heads etc, perhaps a more honest reflection of what was really going down in New York in early '76? Whatever, it's features some really hard to find material that, like the UK's pub rock scene, eschewed the pomp of mid '70s rock for a much more stripped down, back-to-basics approach. The sleeve shows very little wear and, apart from light markings to the vinyl [quite common with US pressings] which have no affect on play, the record is in excellent condition SD2-508)
