WINGS Wings Over America - Super Deluxe Edition (Out of print 2013 Japanese limited edition digitally remastered triple SHM-CD [Super High Material CD - playable on all CD players] box set released as part of the Archive Collection. Originally released in 1976, live album compiled from all recorded shows of the band's America leg of their world tour. Featuring the remastered edition of the album with a third disc of bonus recordings, along with a bonus All Region NTSC DVD featuring a1979 film with footage from their rehearsals for their university tour at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, and 'Photographer's Pass' photo gallery. This fantastic edition comes with three books titled 'Look' by Linda McCartney, 'The Ocean View' by Humphrey Ocean and Wings Over America '76 Itinerary which holds all the disc along with replica photos, tickets and much more, all housed in a stickered heavy card slipcase with seperate lyric booklet & still in the obi stickered shrink. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
