RED GARLAND At The Prelude (1959 US first issue 8-track deep groove mono LP, on a black & yellow Prestige label with '203 South Washington Ave. Bergenfield N.J.' address & 'RVG' [Rudy Van Gelder] machine stamped in the dead wax. Also stars Jimmy Rowser on bass & Specs Wright on drums, front laminate pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve is practically near mint, with just the tiniest spot of laminate chipping at a few edges or mild age wear but nothing of any real consequence. The vinyl is super clean & Excellent with merely the lightest evidence of play. Perhaps better known for playing in Miles Davis' quintet, this is one of the best Garland trio date recordings as a leader PRLP7170)
