JETHRO TULL Autographed Personal Correspondence (One of a kind Letter is the only way to categorise this unique piece of Jethro Tull memorabilia! Typed on official Jethro Tull personal correspondence headed paper from the period and hand signed by main man Ian Anderson in response to Paul 'Fletch' Fletcher, current drummer for none other than Juicy Lucy, the letter politely declined his enquiry into joining Ian Anderson and crew having submitted his written application to them along with a drum score to display his talents. A talented drummer indeed he was and still is but Anderson was, as outlined in the letter dated 8th June 1992, already 'OK for a drummer'. We had the pleasure of meeting Fletch this year, a brilliant character and drummer to match with stories aplenty reaching back to the Seventies from witnessing drunken skirmishes between members of Nazareth, complimentary drumming appraisals from John Bonham's wife and many a rock & roll tale from the Juicy Lucy days on the road, to name just a few. Applying to be Jethro Tull's drummer and receiving a letter of refusal was definitely one of those memorable career moments and has remained a treasured keepsake for over 25 years. Fletch has now decided with some deliberation that it's time for it to go to a new home, I guess there's only so many times you'd want to be reminded about the time you didn't get to join such a band but as a one-off piece of Jethro Tull history you really can't get much more individual than this true rock rarity!)
