FACTORY The Factory (Monster rare 1978 UK poster, featuring the now iconic Peter Saville design and seminal slice of British music history too. Issued in tiny quantities [around 200 for each poster produced, with around half of this number thrown promptly in the bin!] to promote upcoming gigs at the short-lived Factory club in Moss Side. This early example dates from September 1978 [Factory events began in June of that year] and features the iconic Peter Saville 'Use Hearing Protection' imagealongside showcasing upcoming performances from The Fall, This Heat, Wire, The Clash, Cabaret Voltaire, Penetration amongst others - pheew, can we get a time machine please? Measuring 30" x 20" in size, vivid yellow in colour with black text and white borders, obtained from a former music industry employee and never hung/displayed, the poster has survived incredibly with just the very lightest of wear to the edges. Produced in tiny quantities [and with very, very few surviving, if any?] this is about as good as it can possibly get - highly recommended)
