CSNY Déjà Vu Live (Extremely rare pair of double sided high-grade methyl cellulose metal based lacquer acetates for the 2008 US 16-track double LP weighing 200 grams each. Drawn largely from Neil's 'Living With War' album as well as from the band's back catalogue, the double album was recorded during the quartet's 2006 'Freedom of Speech' tour of North America. The studio labels are custom printed with 'Bernie Grundman Mastering' text to the left, tracklist below & a '7/14/08' review date to the right. Both discs are housed in annotated card sleeves with the artist, album title & an additional date. These type acetates are used to assess whether the music had been successfully transferred to disc & come before the master, allowing the sound to be checked without great expense by the engineer. There may be only one copy made of a particular recording, but sometimes more are cut & sent to the studio & band members for approval. It is unusual for more than a dozen to be manufactured, so from a collector's viewpoint, an acetate is a rare discovery. The surface of these acetates remain in Excellent condition making for an incredible find - possibly unique - and certainly one of only a handful made!)
