THE CONTORTIONS Buy (Scarce 1979 UK 9-track vinyl LP with A/B-1U matrices in the run-out, the astounding debut album from James Chance & Co. which is a classic example of the late 70s No Wave scene in New York and features an innovative mix offunk and free jazz, sieved through a post-punk filter, bursting with manic energy and insistent rhythms. The picture sleeve has some light shelfwear evident to the edges and displays a small gold star sticker in the top left corner but the vinyl itself looks barely played. This is the FIRST original copy of this album that we've ever seen! ILPS7002)
