EGG Egg (Rare 1970 UK first issue 8-track MONO vinyl LP on the dark green 'Nova' series Deram label, front laminated picture sleeve with mono/stereo hole, red-for-mono inner & tracklisting sticker on the back. The very first pressings of thisclassic album by Dave Stewart,Mont Campbell and Clive Brooks actually had misprinted titles on the back of the sleeve. The record company response to this was to obscure the misprinted backs with a large sticker containing the corrected text, before the reprinted sleeves were manufactured in time for the next run. The sleeve is overal graded as Very Good, there is creasing to the laminate and moderate ringwear to the reverse; someone has attempted to remove the sticker resulting on the top right area missing, however the text is still legible. The vinyl is graded as VG-/VG with scuffs and hairlines; there is noticeable crackle to the beginning of each side, mostly Side One, however this soon settles down and becomes mostly unobtrusive. Far from mint, this is a nice play copy of a late addition to the mono catalogue of Decca at a knockdown price DN14)
