JASON CREST A Place In The Sun (Super Rare 1969 UK 7" vinyl single with wide centre, die-cut company sleeve. A monster late '60s psych classic and the last of the band's five singles [they never recorded an album]. The A-Side is a highly accomplished popsike nugget with strings and heartfelt vocals, the occult inspired B-Side 'Black Mass' is something else entirely; doom laden/trippy vocals, Gregorian Chant backing and backwards drums/effects throughout - N-I-C-E! The label has a faint hand written number on both sides and a pen annotation on the A-Side with '4/9/69', indicating that this was possibly a review copy [it was never released in demo form], the vinyl is graded Excellent with a blemish to the run-out groove on both sides but very little wear to the actual playing surface. A great copy and the first we've ever seen in over thirty years trading - now that's rare! BF1809)
