music, expanded with 6 Bonus Recordings including
alternate takes & single edits, alongside a previously
unissued performance at Tanglewood, August 1970, with Keith
Jarrett, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Airto
Moreira & Gary Bartz. Also includes a Region 0 NTSC
DVD containing a previously unreleased performance
captured live in Copenhagen, November 1969, with Wayne
Shorter, Corea, Holland & DeJohnette. All beautifully
presented in an expansive & lavishly-designed, 12" slipcase
box set complete with a full-size 52-page book containing a
5,000-word essay by Greg Tate; producers' notes by Michael
Cuscuna & Richard Seidel plus a Lenny White interview by
author Ashley Kahn. The book features Mati Klarwein's
painting Zonked [a psychedelic portrait of Miles' ex-wife,
Betty, which also encodes a profile of Miles] on its cover, plus
dozens of rare, unpublished photographs & record label
memos, a memorabilia envelope containing a reproduction of
the Davis Rolling Stone cover story from December 1969,
previously unseen correspondence from Teo Macero's
archives, reproductions of three Fillmore West concert tickets
from April 1970, high quality photograph prints & a fold-out
