In 1966 The famous Butcher sleeve was causing much controversy so Capitol designed 5 different images as possible replacement slicks. What we have here is what is known as 'design 3'. It was the last design with a coloured background before Capitol decided to go with a white background.

The picture in this proposed sleeve is similar to the one widely known trunk sleeve, however the picture is slightly angled and the background around the trunk has been left in. The titles appear in yellow on a blue background to the immediate right of the picture. The upper portion of the design is white with the band name in bold red block capitols with 'New Improved Full Dimentional Stereo' banner in the centre of the white portion.

The proof has been professionally framed. No more than a handfull of these were made for proof purposes only as the design was disgarded in favour of the regular trunk cover.
