DAVID AXELROD The Signs Part One (2005 US limited pressing 12" vinyl single featuring 3 instrumental mixes of Axelrod classics mastered from the original analogue tape sources creating a sound which harnesses a big group of jazz players mixing vibes, guitars and off-kilter reeds with singers performing lyrics adapted from the Old Testament and Navajo legends plus on the b-side 'Pula Yetla' which is an incredible, sublime but funky 1967 track from Letta Mbulu cutat a time when Axelrod was riding high as an in-house producer at Capitol - sealed & untouched by the hands of a DJ!)
