He hit thecharts both sides of the Atlantic with his debut album 'Look Sharp!' which garnered him top 20 singles and 2 Grammy nominations. 4 albums quickly followed; 'I'm The Man' (1979) 'Beat Crazy' (1980) 'Jumpin Jive' (1981) and the top 3 album 'Night and Day' (1982). This compilation of recordings is taken from the BBC's archives who caught a snapshot of the artist at the start of his career and charted on his phenomenal rise to success.
