CHANTS R & B Chants R & B (2008 US exclusive 15-track vinyl LP, compiling the best available recordings from the legendary New Zealand 60s R & B/garage punk combo: Side 1 features their heartstopping 1966 studio recordings, including crazed versions of 'Neighbour Neighbour' and 'I'm Your Witchdoctor', alongside the Eastern-tinged original 'I Want Her', while side 2 delivers a broadside in the form of a live recording from The Stage Door, Christchurch, NZ circa October '66, including super-charged versions of 'That's The Way It's Got To Be' [Poets] & 'I Feel Good' [Allen Toussaint via The Artwoods], plus garage band staples 'Gloria' and 'Land Of 1000 Dances', presented in sealed gatefold sleeve with great liners from Andy Neill plus a heap of cool-as photos)
