JOHNNY SCOTT QUINTET/ VARIOUS-JAZZ Peter Burman's Jazz Tête-à-Tête (Rare 1962 UK dark green & gold Columbia label 12-track microgroove LP in the collectable Landsdowne Jazz Series. The record acts as a primer on British Jazz of the early sixties, put together by Peter Burman originally intended for BBC broadcast. The recordings date from 1960-62 and include Johnny Scott's Study For Jazz Quintet [Suite In Three Movements] plus performances by The Pat Smythe Trio with Shake Keane, The Ray Premru Group and The Alan Clare Trio. There is a little storage wear to the flipbacks of the front laminated picture sleeve but otherwise, for its age, remains superb with glorious mint condition vinyl 33SX1452)
