ELTON JOHN / THE DETROIT SPINNERS Are You Ready For Love (An interesting one, this! 1979 UK pair of 7" vinyl singles, with Elton's featuring Parts One & Two and The Detroit Spinners also including Once You Fall In Love. According to the press sheet sent out by WEA Promotions department at the time, the backing tracks for both are Identical with only the vocal tracks differing! Apparently Elton thought it was good enough to release as a single, having originally recorded it foran album, thus torpedoing the Detroit Spinners version which WAS recorded as a single. Here you have both, complete with the slightly desperate letter from WEA promotions urging the recipient to give their version a listen! XPRES13/K11286)
