THE BEATLES Beatles For Sale (Rare 1965 Rhodesian issue of the 1964 14-track mono LP on the dark blue & silver Parlophone label, a similar design to the old black & gold label. The sleeve is a variation of the familiar front laminated internal pocket, internal flipback gatefold design & is actually made in South Africa before being over stickered with 'Record Made In Southern Rhodesia'. The vinyl also has 'Made In S. Rhodesia' stamped into the dead vinyl at the run off. This copy is in superb condition -An incredible copy of this rare pressing! PMCJ1240)

Condition :-

Vinyl:

The heavyweight vinyl is in fantastic condition, with just a couple of light spiderlines visible upon very close inspection. Needless to say, these are completely inaudible.
The labels are an unusual silver on dark blue design with extra 'Non-Breakable' & 'Pressed For Or By A Registered User' text, the same as those used in South Africa at the time.
The runout area has the matrices of XEX503 & XEX504-1, along with the stamped 'Made In S. Rhodesia'.

Sleeve:

This is also of surprisingly solid construction & is almost certainly identical to the South African sleeve but with the addition of a 'Record Made In Southern Rhodesia' sticker on the front. Unusually, the inside left of the gatefold is also laminated.
The sleeve as a whole shows very little shelfwear to speak of at all, just a few scuffs. There is some very light scuffing at the corners & some mild edge scuffing but both flips are secure & the pinched spine is easily readable.

All in all a fantastic condition copy of this rare African pressing that you will be unlikely to see in as good a condition as this ever again!
