VARIOUS Mersey Beat (1983 UK issue of the 37-track mono double LP - although this is more a showcase of artists on Parlophone from Merseyside, it was the first compilation to feature material from The Beatles & features a superb black & whiteshot of The Fabs live at the Cavern Club on the back cover courtesy of Peter Kaye. Includes the original mono versions of 'She Loves You' & 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' plus material from The Searchers, The Undertakers, Cilla Black, Billy J. Kramer, Escorts, The Cubas, Freddie Starr & The Midnights & more. The gatefold sleeve shows only minor shelf wear & the vinyl is Excellent with barely any play PCSP1783293)
