RITES OF SPRING All Through A Life (Original 1987 US first pressing 4-track 7" vinyl single on the blue Dischord label and A1/B1 matrices, also including Hidden Wheel, In Silence / Words Away and Patience. A highly influential release, consideredby many for introducing the emotional leanings into the US hardcore-punk scene and therefore widely regarded as pioneers of the much later [and far different sounding] emo-rock and featuring Fugazi guitarist / singer Guy Picciotto. The picture sleeve has a little evidence of age foxing but comes complete with the lyric printed insert [printed in the UK] and the vinyl also remains in EX condition. Yes, the lyrics are more personal, yes there are more melancholic harmonies but this is still stunning punk-hardcore! Highly recommended DISCHORD22)
