THELONIOUS MONK Brilliant Corners (1961 UK issue of the 1957 5-track mono LP, on a dark blue & silver 'reel & mic' Riverside label. This is a particular standout in Monk's back catalogue, as it contains some of his most advanced compositions, featuring Sonny Rollins, Clark Terry, ErnieHenry, Max Roach, Paul Chambers & Oscar Pettiford. The front laminated flipback sleeve has discoloured with age yet all print including the spine is still clearly legible and the vinyl is excellent RLP12-226)
