JOHN COLTRANE The New Wave In Jazz (1965 UK 5-track mono LP of New Black Music - a concert for the benefit of The Black Arts Repertory Theatre - recorded at the Village Gate on March the 28th that year. Coltrane whips through 'Nature Boy' in no time, before the new school of jazz led by Albert Ayler, Grachan Moncur III, Archie Shepp and James Spaulding take to the stage. The front laminated flipback sleeve shows only light signs of age and the vinyl looks barely played CLP1932)
