VARIOUS The Trombones, Inc. (70s Japanese issue of the 1959 11-track stereo LP, recorded in New York and LA over several sessions in December 1958 and featuring 27 leading trombonists of the day assembled on two coasts. Like many record company gimmicks back in the day, this was packaged as a shoot-out between East Coast and West Coast bonemen, earning a rare 5 star review in Downbeat. The sleeve is excellent and the vinyl looks barely played, with Japanese insert P-7540W)
