Boy - White Label Test Pressing + Press Kit

U2 Boy (Extremely rare 1980 US 11-track white label test pressing for their debut LP release in the States. This copy has nice 'for the limited purposes of testing and review' Warner Brothers custom white labels & is complete with the label copytracklisting sheet dated November 17 1980. Test pressings like this seldom, if ever, left the factory but the clues as to the origins of this amazing item may be the inclusion of a two sheet bio on official 'Islandbio' headed paper & a 10" x 8"black & white publicity photograph, taken by Mick Rock, of a group of fresh faced teenagers that possibly might have something to do with the band. An extraordinary item from the days before they wowed America in pristine condition, just as it was over thirty years ago! ILPS9646)
