HANK MOBLEY Roll Call (Rare 1961 US mono first issue of the classic 6-track LP on the 'West 63rd' address Blue Note label, also featuring Freddie Hubbard on Trumpet, Wynton Kelly on Piano, Paul Chambers on Bass & Art Blakey on Drums, pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little corner scuffing & remains in very nice condition indeed, still with the UK import sticker on the back & a clearly readable spine. The vinyl too, whilst not mint, shows just a couple of surface scuffs after over fifty years. Upon playtesting, the clarity is still held in those ancient grooves & the disc plays cleanly with minimal distortion & just a little light surface noise evident in some quiet passages. All in all, a very comfortable VG+/EX- copy of this classic Blue Note release! BLP4058)
