ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK We Were Soldiers (2002 Japanese 14-track promotional sample CD album issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead of the actual release date, featuring a collection of songs inspired by the Vietnam War-era movie 'We Were Soldiers' starring Mel Gibson. With tracks by Johnny Cash & Dave Matthews, Train, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Rascal Flatts and more, alongside two original hymns: 'Sgt. MacKenzie' and 'The Mansions of the Lord [Suite]' were written for the movie itself. The collection also includes a duet by Jamie O'Neal & Michael McDonald of a track which was co-written by a very young CALEB & NATHAN FOLLOWILL prior to the formation of the KINGS OF LEON. An opportunity to hear the early work of two young men who would go on to become half of one of the best rock bands to come out of America!
