MUDDY WATERS Electric Mud (1971 US green Cadet label issue of the 1968 8-track stereo LP. This is the famous 'somebody-put-something-in-the-Waters' album. A relative hit for Chess, it features the exalted bluesman bellowing over psychedelicized arrangements that owe more to Steppenwolf than Willie Dixon - Waters himself complained that the drums were 'too busy' & the lead guitar sounded like 'a cat's meow'! A shame; we think it rocks! The pasted gatefold sleeve shows little of itsage & the vinyl reveals only light signs of play LPS-314)
